By Faith Ministries is a church that has been offering shelter to those who would like to strengthen their belief in God since 2016. We started our ministry because we wanted to provide others with a place where they feel their safest and most vulnerable.
CHURCH HISTORY
Pastor Kenneth Mathews
Our church was established and founded in April 2016. Our Pastor was on a Men’s retreat in East Texas and he was sitting on the porch in a rocking chair reading his word. He heard the Lord say it was time for him to branch out and start a new ministry. He came home from the Retreat and told Lady Detreal what the Lord had said and he also had a sit down and talk with his Pastor. Pastor Mathews and Lady Detreal were ordained as Pastors by Pastor Haskins and Lady Katrina in July 2016.
The first service was August 7, 2016 in our own building. The Lord has truly been with us and shown us time and time again that the just shall live by faith. The Lord has used us to be a blessing in our community from having Back to school drives, Giving to the homeless and giving to the homeless shelters in our city. We have seen numerous people come through our doors and get healed, delivered, and set free. We have saw the jobless get jobs, the carless get cars and we have seen prayers get answered time and time again.
We are excited to be used by the kingdom and to allow the Lord have his way. The hurricane set us back last year but “We Have Come This Far by Faith”.
